Tis the Season to Wear Bow Ties!

Tis the Season to Wear Bow Ties!

The weekend before Christmas, shoppers fall into one of the following two categories:

1. "The Planners"
--- People who have been thoughtfully collecting trinkets here and there throughout the year for their loved ones. They spend the weekend before Christmas carefully wrapping presents, perhaps venturing down town for last minute purchases, listening to Christmas carols, seduced by the haunting melody of Carol of the Bells.

**And in celebra
tion of their achievement, they may reward themselves with a modest cup of hard cider or spiked Eggnog. Because after all, by golly they deserve it!

2. "The Last Minute Shoppers"--- These people can be a dangerous breed. Most likely they have spent more time at the bar than in the stores, dancing the nights away as the holidays draw near. They have done little to no shopping whatsoever leading up to the week of Christmas.Their desperation often causes them to do unspeakable things for awesome gifts such as as a packet of silly bandz or a high pressure shower head. They are prone to extreme road rage, explicit language toward Santa look- a-likes, foaming at the mouth, and using cage fighting techniques to get little Susie that possessed Elmo Live doll she asked Santa to get her.

They are often punished for not listening to holiday s
ale warnings such as "one time offer," and "while supplies last," and as a result are forced to become scary improvisers. Forget that designer bag your lady friend wanted, she's getting something just as good from the back of some guy's car trunk. If you have a last minute shopper in your life, it's best to keep a six pack in the fridge at all times.

However, there is a gift that can save t
he last minute shopper and make them look like the stellar planner that they always aspired to be: the tie. But not just any old, plain Jane, it's been done, I'm sorry I didn't know it was Christmas until 5:30 on Christmas Eve, as ugly as they come, regular tie! Show off your unique gift buying abilities by taking it one step further and giving that special someone the gift of style with a bow tie;) Inspire them to retire last year's Santa head tie they wear for all their holiday festivities, and put some sophistication back into their wardrobe.

The amount of compliments you'll receive on your fantastic gift will prove that the bow tie is the gift that just keeps on giving!

Still unsure if the bow tie is the right thing to
get Dad and your brother Tommy? Here's a list of possible holiday destinations where bow ties need no invitation.

Bow Tie Lover of the Week: Pharrell Williams

Musican, producer, fas
hion designer, Pharrell Williams aims to please when it comes to creating pop and hip hop tracks that are worthy of busting a move on the dance floor, and sending a dope collection down the runway. Working with everyone from Jay-Z to Kanye West, Pharrell knows that it's just as important to look as good as he sounds, when hanging with guys who know how to bring New York Fashion Week chic to everyday streetwear. And Pharrell is no exception to the rule of maintaining a rad fashion sense with the help of a bow tie.

Often worn with leather jackets, patterned suit jackets, v-neck sweaters, and a sick pair of wafers, Pharrell knows how to find a balance in his closet, mixing between formal and everyday wear. Similar to Pharrell's entrepreneurial mindset, he manages to use the bow tie to bring a sense of equilibrium back into his wardrobe, effortlessly making any look convey ambition. Let Pharrell's zen-like approach to putting together a look show you that bow ties aren't just reserved for momentous occasions, and can be sported both day and/or night.

Wise Words From a Bow Tie Wearer:
